In the early 1973, Prodol installs a small plant in Villa Ballester. Its founders, the brothers Alberto and Fernando Zenzerovich, choose this name in honor of his father's birthplace, a small town in what is now Croatia. It´s aim was to support the fruitcultural industry with the development of equipment for the treatment and grading of fruits and vegetables, which was poorly developed and the machinery in use were from international manufacturers, could only be acquired by larger producers.

It was then that Prodol produced the first solvent wax machine and the first peach wax machine

In 1974, encouraged by the first successful results, the company moved to a site located in the city of Escobar – Buenos Aires. There, they began to build a new plant which currently has 16,000 m2 on a land surface of 45,000 m2 manufacturing wax machines and drying Tunnel for apples and volumetric sizers for citrus.

In 1988 began developing the first electronic cup sizer grading by weight and consequently, it becomes the first electronic cup sizer from Argentina,
which is installed in the Río Negro province. It was the first in South America.

This model allowed, in 1992, the first exports to Chile where it was selected
among the European and U.S. competition.

In 1998, based on all the experience accumulated in the cup sizer began to develop the first Smart chain electronic sizer grading by weight

In 1999, the color grading system released into the market taking a step forward compared with competitors. This generated improvements in the export conditions.

In 2001, Prodol manufactured the first Smart chain electronic sizer grading by weight, size, color and quality (external defects). This allowed
us to install Pre Sorting Lines for lemons with capacity: 60 tons / h.a year.

In 2003, we export a pre-sorting and packing line to Europe, in the region of Murcia in Spain. That same year we installed the first Smart chain electronic sizer for pears grading by weight, color and quality.

In 2004 we installed the first Smart chain electronic sizer for oranges and tangerines grading by weight, color and quality.

Nowadays, Prodol continues working and innovating towards the future
in fruit grading and packing lines.
